‘나의 한계를 넘어서는 순간, 진정한 자유의 기쁨이 찾아온다'는 메세지를 개인 브랜드 필름 형식의 3D 애니메이션으로 유쾌하게 풀어내고자 하였습니다.

'Wind-Up'은 ‘태엽을 감아올리다’ 와 ‘결국 -하다’ 두 가지 의미를 가집니다. 이는 주인공 '멜'이 한계를 상징하는 ‘태엽’의 움직임에 의존해 행동하는 부분부터 태엽에서 벗어나 진정한 자유를 맞이하는 부분까지, 영상의 모든 스토리라인을 내포합니다.

졸업전시 일정(2023.10.26-2023.11.1)에 맞추어 연말 특유의 밝고 화려한 아트웍을 구상하였습니다. 키 컬러 레드와 서브 컬러 골드는 브랜드 필름의 화려하고 고급스러운 아이덴티티를 나타내며, 주요 배경인 ‘마음 저택’의 4개 층에 개별적인 키 컬러를 부여함으로써 시각적 즐거움을 끌어올렸습니다. 또한 짧은 시간 동안 시청자들을 매료시키기 위해 영상의 템포 조절과 함께 캐릭터들의 익살스러운 표정 및 동작을 활용하여 재미 포인트를 추가하였습니다.

Through a 3D animation presented as a personal brand film, I aimed to convey the cheerful message of breaking free from limitations and embracing the true joy of freedom.

'Wind-Up' has two meanings: 'make a clock or other device operate by turning a handle or key' and 'finally come to a conclusion.' It encapsulates all the storylines of the video, from the part where 'Mel' acts on the movement of the windup key, symbolizing limitation, to the moment he breaks free from it and discovers true freedom.

In line with the graduation exhibition schedule(October 26, 2023-November 1, 2023), I designed bright and colorful artwork unique to the year's end. Key color red and the sub-color gold represent the vibrant and luxurious identity of the brand film, and individual key colors were assigned to each of the four floors of the main background, the 'Heart Mansion', to enhance visual enjoyment. Also, I incorporated fun elements by utilizing humorous expressions and movements of the characters, while controlling the video's tempo to captivate viewers for a brief yet enjoyable experience.

Everything Changes Depending On Your Mindset

Sometimes, people lock the doors of their minds and hide inside without facing their fears. But we need the courage to open the doors and face them in order to return to our original position. For Mel, who relies on the Wind-Up to spend her mechanical routine hiding inside the mansion, Oscar creates an unusual wave.While frantically chasing Oscar, Mel discovers the true nature of the Wind-Up above her head. The Wind-Up that had oppressed Mel for a long time eventually becomes the key to her liberation.

"There's a mansion that operates on the heart."

The heart that enters the heart mansion is in many forms. Cute cats, sweet pies, sometimes worn-out toy robots and memories that once bothered me . . .. The hearts that enter the mansion are used as a driving force to revitalize the mansion through various processes. Until one day, the door of the mansion was completely locked in an accident.
